Zach Keeter | NORTH CAROLINA
Adopting user-friendly technology solutions in agriculture
Zachery Keeter (Zach) is from Enfield, North Carolina, a community deeply rooted in agriculture, known for its production of cotton, soybeans, peanuts, and poultry. His early involvement in 4-H programs through the Cooperative Extension Service was pivotal in shaping his leadership abilities and igniting his passion for agriculture. From showing livestock to participating in professional development and leadership initiatives, Zach credits much of his personal and professional growth to these youth development programs.
A graduate of North Carolina State University, Zach holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Poultry Science and Agricultural Business Management. He is also an alumnus of the Alpha Zeta Agriculture Honors Fraternity, where he served as Treasurer and was active involved in agricultural outreach and community service. His academic journey included studying agricultural production systems in Brazil and Ireland, where he developed an interest in international agriculture.
Currently, Zach serves as an Agri-Business Specialist at Mountaire Farms, the fourth largest and still family-owned chicken company in the United States, within the Prime Quality Grain Division. He specializes in grain marketing and farmer outreach, serving as a key liaison between farmers and merchandisers to facilitate grain procurement.
